IV International Motocross Championship held in Kosonsoy as part of the International Flower Festival

On May 31, 2026, the IV International Motocross Championship for the Namangan Region Governor’s Cup was held at the “Savanna” motocross track, located in the “Shohsafed” area of “Bahoriston” mahalla in Kosonsoy district. The event took place as part of the 65th International Flower Festival. The championship was organized at the initiative of the Namangan Regional Administration, Kosonsoy District Administration and the Namangan Regional Council of “Vatanparvar”, the Defense Assistance Organization of Uzbekistan. Around 100 athletes from different regions of Uzbekistan, as well as from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, took part in the competition. Participants competed in various categories on a challenging track, demonstrating their skills and offering spectators exciting races full of speed, determination and intense rivalry. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Governor of Namangan Region Botirjon Nuriddinov emphasized the large-scale reforms being carried out in the country to develop the tourism sector. He also highlighted the rich natural potential of Kosonsoy district and its growing opportunities in mountain and sports tourism. Throughout the championship, the athletes showcased strong technical preparation, agility and professionalism. The international competition, held within the framework of the 65th International Flower Festival, attracted great interest from spectators and became one of the key sporting events of the festival program. During the awarding ceremony, Ahmadjon Alakhodjayev, Chairman of the Namangan Regional Council of “Vatanparvar”, noted that special attention has been paid in recent years to popularizing and developing motocross in Uzbekistan. He stressed that such international competitions help improve athletes’ skills, attract young people to technical sports and strengthen Uzbekistan’s reputation in the field of motorsport. At the end of the competition, the winners and prize-winners were awarded diplomas, cups and cash prizes.
