Namangan Region Tourism Department
The Namangan Region Tourism Department is the government body responsible for developing tourism in the region, improving its tourism infrastructure and promoting the area's travel potential.

Crafts and living traditions
Namangan Region is one of Uzbekistan's largest centres of traditional crafts.
The Chust knife is the region's best-known product. The knife-making school built up over centuries continues today: smiths forge the blade by hand, while the handle and sheath are decorated with national ornament. The Chust knife is valued not only as an everyday tool but as a symbol of Uzbek craftsmanship.
The Chust skullcap — black fabric embroidered with a white pattern — is another national emblem known across the country.
Pottery, embroidery and woodcarving are also still practised across the region.
Visitors can watch these pieces being made in the craftsmen's own workshops and buy souvenirs directly from the makers. It is one of the most memorable parts of a trip to the region.
