Educational Tourism in Japan: Exploring Advanced Practices and Modern Approaches

As part of an official visit to Japan, members of the delegation explored the work of the country’s educational institutions, modern teaching methods and effective management practices. During the visit, the delegation studied institutional management systems, mechanisms for teachers’ professional development, approaches to building students’ moral values and experience in developing international cooperation. The participants also exchanged views on adapting these practices to the local education system. The delegation visited Funabashi Special Education School, which specializes in educating children with additional learning needs, supporting their social integration and helping them develop independent living skills. The visitors learned about inclusive education programmes, individual teaching approaches and practical training methods used by the school. The delegation also toured Takenedai Bunka Kindergarten, a private preschool institution. Particular attention was given to play-based learning, the creation of a safe and supportive environment for children, and the effective organization of teachers’ professional activities. Such visits contribute to the development of educational tourism, expand international exchanges between teachers and specialists, and strengthen cooperation among educational institutions. Efforts to study Japan’s advanced educational experience, innovative approaches and effective management practices are continuing.
